Study On The Reports Of NPC & CPPCC Of Taiwan Newspapers Since The Ban Of The Release Of The Newspaper (1988-2016)

The relationship between the two sides of the Taiwan straits has always been an urgent issue,and it is an important topic related to national core value interests.Particularly after the election of CaiYingWen as Taiwan's leader in 2016,the smooth relations between the two sides of the Taiwan straits have become more and more important,and the research on the topic of cross-strait relations is more urgent and practical.This article selects all the news reports from the China Times,the United Daily Times and the Liberty Times from 1988 to 2016,29 years about “NPC & CPPCC” as the research object,through content analysis,from the position of the news' quantity,source of information,the media,the main issues,reporting style,in five angles to analyze both similarities and differences in the three newspapers reporting the “ NPC& CPPCC ”,and to explore the characteristics of Taiwan's newspaper story of “ NPC& CPPCC ”,and the influence factors of Taiwan's report situation of “ NPC &CPPCC ”.Through the study,it was found that the “ NPC & CPPCC ” reported the most,followed by the China Times,while the Liberty Times had the fewest reports.As time has changed,the number of reports in the China Times and the Associated Press has gradually declined,while the number of the Liberty Times has increased.The information sources of the China Times and the United Daily Times are mainly adopted by this newspaper,and the Liberty Times mainly obtains information through other media.In all the China Times and the United Daily Times' reporting,the media reported the largest number from the respect of neutrality,the positive nature of the report is not in the minority,while the negative nature of the Liberty Times is the most but the number of positive nature least.The China Times and the United Daily Times reported the “NPC & CPPCC” mainly about the expression and activity participants,followed by the agenda,and the Liberty Times reported the most about the reaction of the “ NPC & CPPCC ” during the social from all walks of life,the second is about theexpression and activity participants.All three newspapers account for the largest proportion of news and communication.In the special edition,it appeared most in the United Daily Times.The China Times does best on charts and graphics,while the Liberty Times has the fewest pictures and charts.Taiwan's newspapers have three main features of the “ NPC & CPPCC ” reports: the tendency of political position is obvious;News reporting business orientation under market competition;Information diversification and perspective liberalization.There are three main factors influencing the “ NPC & CPPCC ” in Taiwan newspapers: the change of cross-strait relations;The development and change of Taiwan's newspaper industry;Newspaper creators and their relations with political parties.
