The widely application of infrastructure management system in management process of power plant infrastructure has greatly improved the infrastructure management level in this area. Base on3D technology, a new power plant infrastructure management system is presented in this paper. The new system, evolved from traditional infrastructure management system, has more advanced functions. Through simple and uniform system browsing interfaces, excellent pictures and data can be shown in the way of project entity3D model. With the help of advanced information technique, project managers can efficiently complete system operation such as releasing project information, sharing data and plan, tracking and controlling construction projects via any computer’s browser in network system. By mean of integrating information systems, this system realizes fast query of information and link between databases, thus avoiding Information Island, reducing information searching time and could providing decisions support for managers.Some ideas for improvements about a new infrastructure system based on3D technique are raised though studying the status of existing power plant infrastructure system in the first part of paper. The theories of system development and3D design method of power plant are also presented and studied in this part, which contains data-base technique, B/B system development pattern, XML data transmission format, ASP.NET development language as well as3D design method in power plant design.The detailed design of system development and requirements analysis are the focus of this paper, including system requirements, system frame design, system software and hardware configuration and system function analysis, and then elaborates realizing method and thought, data-base design method and typical data-base lists.The process and method of system function realization including requirements of3D model establishment, process method of document and data are discussed in the system realization part. Some developing codes are also shown in this part. The last section is the conclusion summarizing the practical application condition of this new management system in management process of power plant infrastructure.
