Since21st century,with the development of digital technology andemergence of new technologies, the stable status of the traditional media hasbeen broken up.In order to cope with the impact of new media, traditional mediahas begun to use new media resources to build the new mode of transmission anddevelop new communication channels.In response to the growing intensecompetition,media of various form began to seek cooperation and intermediation.With the boundaries of various media becoming blur, new media environmentbegins to take shape.Since the1970s, the domestic and foreign scholars havebegun to study the "media convergence" in different perspective,resulting in alarge number of theoretical research findings.Television news programs, as an important part of television programs,works to spread the communication news and information as main purpose.Under the influence of media convergence,China’s television news programs isfaced with new challenges.This paper, from the perspective of a researcher, triesto explore how to look at the issue of television news programs with an openview. In the face of today’s digital swarms,what have developed and evolvedwith TV technologies and TV terminal technologies?What’s the impact of mediaconvergence?what has changed with television news programs? The paper isdivided into six parts:The Introduction Part describes the research background,research methodand research levels of domestic and foreign scholars, as well as an introductionabout the research results and innovation points of this paper.In the second part, based on the results of previous studies, the authorsummarizes the concepts of the television news program morphology andproposes a new thinking of television news programs.Elaborate on the questionof what is the form of television news program. The third part analyzes the development of television technology andtelevision terminals technology under the influence of media convergence.Fouraspects are discussed,which are digital TV,network TV,mobile TV and smart TV.The fourth part analyzes the impact of television news programs in mediaconvergence,discussing the changes happened to various television terminals.New changes to TV news programs are discussed in three aspects, which areprogram production,broadcasting and interaction.The fifth part is to discuss television news programs constitute,construct thetheoretical model in macro level,the macro level and micro level to makeanalysis of TV news programs,form macro interpretations to television newsprograms in two side which are program type convergence and media typeconvergence.Medium measure mainly analyses the slabs of television newsprogram,different plate constitutes a different morphology of television newsprogram.Analysis the change of convergence program elements and interactiveprogram elements,the new elements coming into beings and changing constitutesmicro-level of television news program.In the last part,the paper concludes with a simple summary of the researchand future perspective of TV news program development.
