A Study On Governance Of Internet Rumors From The Perspective Of Social Management

At present, there are researches about internet rumors, focusing on how it spread,how to response and control. However, governance of internet rumors has become anew subject of social management since online society has showed increasing powerto the reality. So a more comprehensive and systematic study of internet rumors’negative influence as well as positive ones, governing subjects and the path to achieveeffective governance are needed in urgent from the perspective of social management.Compared with ordinary rumors, Internet rumors are more frequently occurring,more involving in sensitive issues and more elegant dressed-up; These have putforward higher requirement to social management the social information disclosuremechanism, the tolerance and decentralization of the government, and credibility ofdefecator; Thinking in terms of "good governance" theory, the governance of Internetrumors should rely on a network, in which the government, the market and the citizenform work together based on the same goal. The role they play in the networkrespectively is: limited leader, powerful supporters, respected participants; and to castthe "net", there are four governance paths: processing governance path, sourcinggovernance path, basic governance pace, and introspection governance path.At present, Internet rumors governance of China has achieved success in themicro blog community self-governance, crack down on the crime of Internet rumors,the government-mass media ganged to improve public rumors immunity; Still, thereare problems expansion in Internet rumors clampdown, exist during the,"officialrumors", the spread of less-aggressive rumors; Reasons are as follows: the sourcinggovernance path is imperfect, the absence of introspection governance path, themarket and the civil power are less organized; Thus, this5thchapter targeted atputting forward strategies to optimize the governance of China’s Internet rumors.
