Cooperative school-running mode between higher education institutions and enterprises refers to integration and coordination relationship established by these two parties in the fields of personnel training, technology development, scientific research, resource sharing, personnel exchange, etc. In this education mode, advantages of both universities and enterprises can be utilized, and thus the quality of personnel training can be improved. In recent years, state education departments strongly advocate this kind of education mode. However, with the increase of students and enterprises who take part in engineering practice education, the amount of related information also gradually becomes huge. How to effectively manage the practice education information of both students and related enterprises becomes a big problem for universities during the process of student management. This system has been just developed based on this kind of education mode.The task of this project is to design a standardized and automatic system for engineering education practice process management. On the one hand, seamless connection among colleges, students and enterprises can be realized by using this system. Hence, students can know the types of talents required by enterprises in time, so that they can strengthen their own learning. Meanwhile, enterprises can also continue to know students situations, so that they can choose suitable students. On the other hand, research works on new mode of engineering education can be done by using this system.Compared with traditional mode, network-based system for student practice process management possesses the following advantages:1) the previous multi-links can be decreased to one or two links, and the possibility of artificial direct intervention management activities can be almost shielded, and engineering education of universities can be extended.2) It helps students to develop creative thinking and to greatly improve the ability for solving practical problems. It also facilitates the effective management of college students. It helps the enterprises to select students.3) It not only saves a lot of time, manpower, material and financial resources, but also greatly improves the safety, security and real-time.After designing the system for engineering education practice process management and finishing development tasks, the author mastered methods and skills for system design. At home and abroad, many research and development works about the student information management are being carried out in high gear, and new technologies emerge during the research process. These new technologies enrich the function and structure of the whole system for engineering education process management.
