With the development of internet technology and enhancement of GIS functions,GIS is more and more popular in domestic meteorological application, andmeteorological systems mushroom. We establishing an efficient, open, interactivemeteorological service information system based on WebGIS, which could integratereal-time, multi-source data. Through user interaction the system could generateservice product that provides intuitive, visual meteorological service function fordifferent user.In recent years, Xuzhou meteorological cause has developed rapidly, and allmeteorological departments have made positive explorations in professional andspecialized meteorological service and other Aspects. But there are some problems inXuzhou meteorological service information system,such as,independent multi-sourcedata, single service product, low efficiency and so on. So it can’t meet the demand ofmodern business development. To solve the problems and meet the requirement ofXuzhou meteorological service, this paper designed and developed Xuzhoumeteorological service information system. The main research work is as follows:The paper studied organization, processing and visualization methods of citymeteorological service information data. It analyzed meteorological data types,sources in details, and researched on various types of meteorological data format.Combined with original meteorological data, this paper provides data organizationmethod in the city meteorological service information system. Based on MICAPSdata, we studied the conversion method of data in different types, and researched GIScartographic representation of meteorological data.This paper has designed and analyzed Xuzhou meteorological serviceinformation system, including system architecture, database structure, functionalstructure and use case. The system uses four-tier B/S architecture and includes sixmodules, such as basic situation, climate prediction, weather forecast, meteorologicalservice, backstage management, real-time monitoring. Along with Microsoft SQLServer technology and SuperSDX+database engine, the system managered and storedmeteorological data with both attribute and spatial character, that provided safe,reliable data service for data query and visualization.Based on SurperMap IS.NET framework, the paper developed Xuzhoumeteorological service information system. With ASP.NET、JavaScript、AJAX technology, the system integrated multi-source data, provided various product formsand visualization spatial service.
