Research And Implementation Of Radar Display System Based On Radar Improving Project

Radar Display and Control is one of the important parts of radar system. This paper is based on a radar upgrading project to develop a general purpose computer radar display system.Presently, most traditional radar's control parameters are analog and their display terminals are professional raster display monitors. With the rapid development of computer technology and image processing technology, it has become a new trend to take general purpose computer as radar display and control terminals. Computer terminals are more flexible and more powerful. It can strengthen radar's compatibility. In the paper we showed how to design the system for more flexible and extensible. We also introduced the project's main concept and algorithm.In the project, real time rendering is a main problem of the radar display system. We need to deal with 2000 float pixel in 3 milliseconds. With the rapid development of the computer graphic technology, GPU programming skill made a great progress in the last ten years. Use GPU based technology to solve this problem make senses and got a good results.We mainly discuss radar display system and GPU optimize in this paper. And we also introduced the project itself. At the end, we show the effect with the real-time radar display.
