The Design And Implementation Of Resource Monitoring And Billing System Based On Openstack

OpenStack is a cloud computing platform, it is not a software but an open sourceproject. OpenStack can rapidly deploy a virtualized environment and create multiplevirtual interconnected servers by virtualization environments, and enables users toquickly deploy applications on virtual machines.At present, OpenStack is developing very rapidly. OpenStack community alreadyhas a number of companies and thousands of developers, including many famous ITcompanies, such as Dell, Citrix, Cisco, etc. With the development of cloud computingto business applications direction, OpenStack is gradually developing on commercialsides. But the study of resource monitoring and charging of OpenStack is stillrelatively less, so the focus of this article is to design and implement a resourcemonitoring and billing system which is based on OpenStack project.Firstly, this article studys the open source code of OpenStack to understand itscharacteristics and analyzes the resource of OpenStack’s cloud platform. On this basis,we build a private cloud platform of OpenStack which provides the basic environmentfor further study.Then we study and analyze the existing issues of this paper, which focuse on theway about the collection and processing of data. Combination these study of result andanalyzing the requirements of resource monitoring and billing system, we design thesystem’s structure and realize the function of each system’s module. By integratingeatch module’s function, we finsih the development of the entire monitoring andbilling systemsFinally, we deploy resource monitoring and billing system on OpenStack cloudenvironment and test the system’s function. The result validate that it has reliabilityfunction and good performance.
