OpenStack can help enterprises to quickly build a cloud platform to provide users with cloud services.However,it is not perfect,OpenStack cannot support the monitoring on the performance of the physics engine and virtual machine and users cannot obtain the information related to the physical machine in the same time.In order to ensure the safe and stable operation of the virtual machine and cloud platform in OpenStack cloud computing platform,this paper studies and implements a resource monitoring system based on OpenStack cloud platform.The following work has been done in this paper.(1)Building a OpenStack private cloud platform in the lab for future research.(2)To realize the monitoring of server CPU utilization,memory usage,network card input and output rate monitoring,we use Nagios monitoring tools for developing server monitoring plugins.To realize the monitoring of virtual machine CPU utilization,memory usage,network card input and output rate monitoring,we using Libvirt API for developing virtual machine monitoring plugins.(3)Design and implementation of monitoring data transmission and storage,and the use of C# jpPlot graphics plug-in to achieve data visualization display.Deployed 10 virtual machines to test in the experiment.The monitoring data is proved accurate.
