The automated warehouse (Automated Storage and Retrieval.AS/RS) is the hub andheart of modern logistics system,used in various industries widely. A project of building awarehouse must face the large investment and long construction period because of its moreand more high degree of automation and the increasingly complex.So the research andcommunication with customers is essential before the project. virtual simulation platform forwarehouse can simulat the logistic processes to show the whole view so that investors anddesigners can evaluate all the factors in the project and the requirements of enterpriseslegitimately.Then, design costs will be reduced, the design cycle of logistics planning will beshorten effectively, manpower, material and time are also saved.This paper studies the primarily problem in the development of automated warehousevirtual simulation platform, and complete the work in the following areas:1. Research the logistics and warehouse;summarize the current status in the developmentof logistics simulation software;analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each simulationsoftware.;summed up the features and characteristics of logistics simulation software in thefuture.2. A virtual simulation platform of Automated Storage/Retrieval System was establishedbased on VC++and OpenGL graphic library.It show the3D virtual environment, importibasic device model made by three-dimensional modeling tool named3DMAX. Collisiondetection, simulation on animation of in/out stock and data storage are completed. We alsotest the feasibility of virtual simulation platform by building a simple warehouse.3. Provides algorithm interface of efficiency evaluation in the system learning fromexcellent software from abroad.4. Analysis of the problem of load stacker and design stacker double commandevaluation algorithm. The experiment proved that the algorithm can improve the workefficiency of stacker and improve the throughput of the warehouse effectively.
