In recent years, large-scale ocean wave scene is drawing more and more attention of scientists in various fields. In the civil purpose, real-time rendering of ocean scene has become a powerful auxiliary tool of the computer games, animation, film production and engineering applications;in the military, the marine simulation technology provides economic, safe, reliable training environment for national naval combatants; In the scientific research, the marine simulation can change the abstract and professional charts and data into intuitive animation, give help to the ship designer. The method of ocean scene rendering based on wave spectrum and 3D Gerstner waves as well as importing three-dimensional model into the marine scene are studied in this paper in-depth.For the theoretical basis, this paper fixes the form of the wave spectrum, directional spectrum and the 3D Gerstner wave model and the method to get the parameters of the wave equations through wave spectrum inversion , explains the the basic theory of Perlin Noise function which is used in the irregular treatment for the wave surface height field. For the rendering of the waves, based on object-oriented programming ideas and OpenGL library functions, through the drawing of the points, lines and surfaces, the geometric and physical models were programmed. The scene is made more realistic through using post-processing techniques such as texture mapping, blending and Mipmap ,and what's more, the sky and island are put into the scene. In the importing three-dimensional model, the three-dimensional models of 3DS format are got from the 3ds Max in this paper; the 3DS files format and importing three-dimensional model in two ways into the scene are studied in-depth in this paper. So the scene is richer in content and broader in the range of applications programs. Finally, the real-time and stability of the simulation are verified through the simulation experiment works and the compared for some data and results.
