Sharing Management Information of Large-Scale Precision Instruments and Equipment(SMIS-LSPIE) in Universities was designed and implemented, which was funded onZhanjiang Normal University scientific project: Sharing Management Information ofLarge-Scale Precision Instruments and Equipment in Laboratory after fully understanding thedomestic management for large precise instruments in university by referencing a lot ofarticles. SMIS-LSPIE is not only a working platform of large-scale precision instruments andequipment (LSPIE) information management on campus network, but also a sharing platformof LSPIE paid service on Internet.Active Server Pages (ASP), which is the current popular Microsoft’s web developmentlanguage and SQL Server2005database management system was used in the SMIS-LSPIE,and Adobe Dreamweaver CS5was used as a development tools.The user requirements of LSPIE is determined and the user model is established after thedetailed research. Then the system logic structure, which is a strong adaptability andindependent of the system implementation environment is established on the basis of the usermodel. The system function module chart is determined, following the subsystemsclassification principles of the "high cohesion and low coupling", and then the subsystems aredivided, and the interface between the various modules and subsystems are determined. Therelational database is designed according to the3NF method, and each data table structure anddata types are determined. The menu-driven Windows user interface is used as the systeminterface, and the Windows components are used as the interface elements, and the standardand input/output devices such as keyboard, mouse and monitor are used in LSPIE. Eventually,the physical model of LSPIE system is determined. The main foregrand function of the LSPIEsystem includes system information browsing, user registration, equipment informationbrowsing, equipment service records reservation and management, etc. And the mainbackgrand function includes the management of the existing equipment, adding a newequipment, equipment check, reservation management, equipment maintenance, equipmentefficiency and income statistics, the user management and database backup management, etc.The effect of SMIS-LSPIE is good after about half a year of trial operation.
