Radio frequency simulation can simulate the electromagnetic environment of battlefield vividly.It could acquire the data precisely by controlling the experimental process. The target simulator is oneof the main equipment, while high speed and wide-band data acquisition is the key of target simulator.As the speed of data process is growing faster, the demand for data acquisition is thirstier. As a result,it is quite necessary to research the high speed and wide-band data acquisition systems.In this paper, an8-bit data acquisition system with the sample rate of800MHz and the bandwidthof500MHz is designed to meet the demand of target simulator in radio frequency simulation systems.The main work is as follows:(1) First of all, the architecture of ADC+FPGA is adopted for this paper after researching somecommon design methods of high-speed and wide-band data acquisition system. The system includesone ADC chip which is used for the data acquisition and one FPGA chip which is used for the dataprocess and date store.(2) The design of hardware circuit is given in this paper, the analysis and simulations of signalintegrity in high-speed circuit are also discussed in this paper, and the circuit board is also worked out.(3) The circuits inside FPGA which combine the hardware circuit are designed to control theoperating modes of ADC and to store data. The data preprocessing is also related in this paper.(4) At last, the overall simulations and tests of the whole data acquisition system is put intopractice. Simulations and tests with the second harmonic component of-50dB at800MSPS haveshown that the design has met the target of data acquisition.
