RFID, as a non-contact automatic identification technology, with the unique characteristics of high data density, environmental adaptability, high recognition speed, long distance identification and so on, has been widely used in production, medical and lots of other fields. In the ultra-high frequency and microwave RFID systems, high-speed data acquisition unit as a bridge between echo analog signal and digital signal processing is rather pivotal.A data acquisition system used FPGA as the core and SDRAM as the storage media is designed in this paper to meet large store information and multi-tag identification applications. Firstly a review of the research background is taken, then the basic theory involved in data acquisition (?) introduced and the design structure and method of this system is expounded, finally system circuit performance evaluation is carried out. SPI and Intel8080interface are applied to guarantee this system can communicate with all kinds of low cost MCU. SDRAM controller is implemented by state machines in the low cost FPGA. This paper also presents an efficient data organization method in the data transmission process between10bits ADC and16bits SDRAM. It not only can saves SDRAM space, but also avoids invalid data transmission and storage, so higher efficiency can be got and SDRAM can work in lower clock frequency reducing SDRAM controller logical and sequential design difficulty.
