Along with economic development, it has become increasingly complex of the UAV flightenvironment, increasingly difficult to select the flight area, and increasingly more of security threats.In case of UAV lost control and crashed, it will bring different levels of economic losses andcasualties, and even cause serious political events and international disputes. This paper designed aflight safety control system of the UAV aimed to improve safety of the UAV in flight, based on theembedded real-time system, VxWorks system, and PC/104.1) On the basis of the analysis of security risks in some typical applications of the UAV, thepaper proposes the idea of flying security solution. After that, the paper describes the system function,the execution of the security control, and security control strategy design of three typical securitythreats: security control judgment lines,flying restricted area, crashed restricted area.2) An airborne safety controller is designed and implemented, and composed mainly a securitycontrol computer and a satellite navigation receiver. Security Control Computer is compact and easyto install, adopted PC/104electrical structure, including CPU motherboard, interfaces control board,power board, heating board and receiver carrier board. And it uses the VxWorks real-time operatingsystem, retaining only the basic operating kernel and serial, network, and other necessary hardwaredrivers. Application software adopted communication mechanism of message queues and binarysemaphore to solve the mutual exclusion and synchronization between tasks.3) Two test methods of static and fully functional simulation are designed, and supportingsimulation test equipment is transformed. The equipment is adapted from existing UAV simulationtest equipment, mainly by modifying the communication interface protocol, software code, and asmall amount of hardware circuit. The equipment can link UAV Flight Control System, RemoteMonitoring and Control System, with the airborne safety controller.Different from adopting improvement of Flight Control Computer to solve the emergencies inmost of the existing domestic UAV, the UAV use Flight Safety Control System. The system is limitedequipment costs, build independent safety control channel, forming a reliable, flexible security controlmode. And it has achieved good effects in practical application, and good promotional value.
