The servo control system is an important part of the rotary platform control systemwith large inertia, so the performance, especially the accuracy of servo control systemwill impact on it directly. Therefore the servo control system requires higher accuracy,greater stability and reliability, more integrated, modular software environment withgood readability and portability. In this paper, we designed and implemented for servocontrol system DSP embedded real-time operating system which based on the TexasInstruments (TI) embedded real-time operating system (RTOS) SYS/BIOS.First, we studied the basic knowledge of embedded real-time operating system, andcompared advantages and disadvantages between RTOS and the traditional DSPapplication. RTOS accounts for both the complexity of the code, and the simplificationof code development, also RTOS can significantly improve the portability of thesoftware, increase the cost of the software life cycle. Through the comparison of RTOS,we determined to choose the embedded operating system kernel SYS/BIOS.Secondly, the article described the servo control system, especially the workingprinciple, the characteristics and the transfer functions of a three-closed-loop system, totake a good preparation of code programming; studied the characteristics of thehardware environment, and usage of Code Composer StudioFinally, we analyzed the needs of the environment of the overall hardware system,and divided into several parts based on the function of each module, and designed theentire process elementarily, including the allocation of thread, the implement of thefunction interface and the information synchronization of each part. We tested thesoftware system, and analyzed data which was gotten from software system.The structure of the servo control real-time operating system based on SYS/BIOSwhich is designed in the article is simple, and the system has reached the requirementsof real-time and modular, it is also easy to transplant. So that it meet the high demandswhich was put forward by the servo control system. At the meanwhile, we haveundertaken exploration and trial of the future direction of the DSP software design, established the original platform, made a contribution to exert the function of DSPhardware wholly.
