| The boundary-scan technology is the test of a standard digital system and a designmethod of testability, which has been widely used in the industrial sector. But, with therapid development of electronic technology and high-speed digital communicationtechnology, high interface is more and more widely used in order to improve the rate ofsignal transmission. The standard of boundary scan technology is IEEE Std1149.1,mainly for chip interconnect, low-speed digital signal test between chip and PCB, but itindicates obvious defects in the test of AC-coupled differential signal in advanceddigital networks, which cause quick reduce in test coverage. In this case, the IEEEpassed the IEEE Std1149.6standard in2001, this standard is mainly solve the fault thatunable to detect in1149.6. Although1149.6standard has formed since2001, thestandard needs to be characteristics of backward compatible and it also need to handlethe AC signal, which make the circuit design very difficult, So far, only several chiptruly realize this technology. This article analysis and reseach the theory of boundary scan technology and thecharacteristic of AC-coupled differential sigal, againt the PCIE high-speed interfacechip boundary scan design.1ã€A detailed analysis of the IEEE1149.6standard for AC-couple differential signalboundary-scan design method will be revealed in the article. Also the article willpropose high-speed interface PCIE chip boundary-scan design and circuit logic design, including digital drive module, digital receiver module, analog test receiver module and1149.6test Access port-TAP.2ã€Used full custom method implement Boundary-scan circuitry digital drivermodule and digital receiver module layout. The digital driver module area is0.004576mm2, digital receiver module area is0.008448mm2.The result of the test indicates that the boundary scan design is available. Thearticle also respectively realizes the design of layout design on digital driver module anddigital receiver module. The simulation results show that the Boundary-scan design iscorrect. |
