As a standard technique of test and Design-For-Testability for testing the digital printed circuit board, Boundary-Scan technique has obtained widespread application in electronic equipment. In order to enhance the testability, reduce the maintenance costs of the electronic equipment, it is very important to develop a Boundary-Scan test system (BSTS).In this thesis, the Boundary Scan technique is discussed in detail and a Boundary-Scan test system based on computer is also developed. The main contents can be summarized as follows:1. The IEEE Std 1149.1 Boundary Scan Testing standard is researched, and the mathematical description model and some basic theorems of boundary scan testing process is analyzed subsequently.2. The generating principle and the ability of fault diagnosis of some conventional algorithms are analyzed. Based on the analysis, a new algorithm named Equal Weight/Complement Algorithm is proposed. It is proved through theoretical analyses and simulation experiments that the algorithm can eliminate Aliasing-fault syndrome,and decrease Confounding-fault syndrome availably.3. BSTS is developed and applied in testing of the digital printed circuit board. It is indicated by testing results that the BSTS can realize its prospective aims, and has wide application value in fast fault diagnosis field of electronic equipment.
