History Of Armenian Media

The free flow of information is a major factor that has contributed to the spread ofdemocracy throughout the world. To understand the landscape of today’s media environmentin Armenia, we must develop a baseline by first examining the history of Armenia fromthe waning days of communism and the introduction of glasnost, we will explore the historyof Armenia’s media landscape through its gradual development from basics till currentcondition. We also should briefly describe Armenia’s political development from thewaning years of communist rule to today’s burgeoning independent republic, and speciallystate the role of media from the age of glasnost to today’s democracy.
