| With the rapid development of higher education in China, both the enrollmentamount and school-running scale of each college and university has been expandingconstantly, making it impossible for their staff to handle their daily work highefficiently with the old-fashioned office system, which could no longer fullfil theirrequirements. In that case, it is of top priority for the development of colleges toestablish the college office automatic system and provide the staff with a highefficient office environment. The author introduced in this article the designing andoperating principles of the college office automatic system by taking his workingplace-Shandong agricultural management cadre institute as an example. And it couldserve as a reference for colleges and universities of the same type to develop or updatetheir office automatic systems, too.Adopting the method of integrating the theory and practice, the author firstlylearned the college office automatic system theories through reading plenty ofrelevant literatures, and carried out the need analysis of this system according to theactual demands of daliy work in Shandong agricultural management cadre institute, then, which helped he come up with a design scheme for the college office automaticsystem. An office automatic system based on this scheme has also successfully beenbuilt in Shandong agricultural management cadre institute. Both the B/S structural model and JSP technique were applied in the design ofthe system. SQL Server2005was used as the back-end database, and JAVA as theprogramming language. In accordance with the principle of software engineering, theaimed function modules were determined firstly via the analysis of the needs of themain staff in colleges. Then, the B/S structural model was used as an overall structureand designed detailedly to contain functions including login administration, e-mailmanagement, daily administration and system management as well. All the functionalparameters of the system had been tested and analyzed, too. The college officeautomatic system has basicly been established by now, and has basiclly met ouranticipative design objective, on the basis of the tests.Summeries were made in the last part of the article, as well as the anticipation ofthe development trends of the office automatic system in colleges and universities. |
