The world today is the era of information and technology, Mathematical sciences plays an important role in the development of science technology, the progress of science and technology also provided more space for the application of mathematics. With the widespread application of mathematics in the field of science and technology, mathematical modeling was more and more attention by people, classroom teaching includes knowledge of mathematical modeling has become a broad consensus. At first, China opened the mathematics modeling curriculum in the bachelor’s degree stage, and through mathematical modeling competition way to encourage students to learn mathematics modeling curriculum and participate in the activities of mathematical modeling. In 2003 our country issued the "new curriculum standard" explicitly pointed out that the teaching of mathematical modeling should be introduce into the senior classroom, and points out that through the modeling teaching to gradually cultivate students’ applying consciousness and ability of innovation. Although the modeling activities of mathematics in high school of our country has already started, but at teaching implementation process,there are still many problems urgent to be solved.In this paper, the main research direction is the current problems existing in the senior school mathematical modeling teaching and the teaching strategies(for students’ problem), and on the basis of further research given the appropriate teaching cases. This paper studied from five different aspects. The first part, discussed the mathematical model and the mathematical modeling basic concept, introduced the mathematics modeling development process of domestic and foreign and the value of this studies. The second part, from the new curriculum standard and the education teaching directions, discussed of mathematical modeling teaching of high school theoretical basis. The third part, from students and teachers aspects, investigating the current mathematical modeling teaching implementation situation, and through the analysis of the results of the survey data, gives some corresponding conclusions. The fourth part, discussed the textbook modeling ideas and the problems existing in current modeling teaching. The fifth part, from theory and operation two aspects, explored senior school mathematics modeling teaching, and get some related conclusions, at the same time, gives the mathematical modeling teaching cases. I hope that through this study can provide some theoretical and practical reference for the senior school modeling teaching.
