| The backwardness of basic education is one of the important reasons that make rural economy undeveloped.With implementation of quality education and the new curriculum reform of basic education for more than ten years, the basic education of the vast rural areas is still backward,which is related to the present status of the rural school teachers.Suichuan County, one of the poverty and large population counties of Jiangxi Province,is a representative of the status of rural junior middle school history teachers.This paper taking junior middle schools in rural areas of Suichuan county of Jiangxi Province as the background, through the investigation and analysis of present situation of junior middle school history teachers in rural areas of Suichuan County, puts forward countermeasures for the construction of the rural junior middle school history teachers. This thesis includes three parts.The first part is the introduction, which contains reasons, purpose and meaning of the research, the selected procedure and research methods.The second part is the results and analysis of the survey. With investigation and analysis of the present condition of history teacher from ten rural junior high schools and the status of history teaching in rural junior high school in Suichuan, the study finds irrational structure of history teachers in rural junior high school, the low education level of history teachers, and a lot of non-technical staff acting as history teachers.And it finds that professional history teachers are poor and their social status, wages and benefits are relatively low.The status of rural junior high school history teaching is not positive, and there is a certain discrimination against history lesson in the curriculum, history teachers’ teaching quality is not so good, students are not enthusiastic at learning history lessons. The poverty is the fertile soil of examination-oriented education in rural areas, and it is difficult to implement the quality education.The third part is the measures that strengthen the construction of history teachers in rural junior middle school. According to the conclusions, the thesis proposes the following strategies. Firstly, the management system of history teachers and the structure of history teachers needs to be standardized and improved. Secondly, the professional history teachers’ living condition needs to be improved. Thirdly, the value and function of history class need to be comprehensive understood. Fourthly, history teachers need to be encouraged to take part in various continuing education. The fifthly point is to establish a sound evaluation system about history education and improve the quality education. The sixth point is to improve the professionalism of teachers and history development. The last is to improve the development of history education in rural area by the function of government. |
