Since the implementation of new curriculum standards, Chinese teachers have been greatlychanged their mind, they creat new teaching modes and teaching philosophy, they aregradually used in our classroom, it let so many ways appeared in teaching Chinese."Thematic learning" experiment was proposed by Weifang, it was used from primaryschools to junior high schools, the teachers and students learn a lot from it. The teachers’teaching philosophy changes, they try to let students use what they learn in the learningprocess.Teachers do an effective integration by incorporating the same theme extracurricularreading materials, increasing the amount of books, to enhance the understanding of students,so in the classroom students can read more.This study is based on teaching Chinese in junior high school, from redefining the meaningof thematic learning to the investigation and analysis of the learning status, there are manyproblems appeared in the “thematic learning”.The research projects focus on the combination of theory and practice, with advancedteaching theories such as humanistic theory, the theory of quality education, educationalpsychology, inquiry learning, cooperative learning to interpret the thematic learning in juniorhigh school, through the study of teaching cases, classroom record, instructional design,summed up issues in the thematic learning in junior high school and then summed up theappropriate strategy.Through conversations and questionnaires with students, it seems that the learningmaterials of thematic learning in Weifang are monotonous,the teaching ways of thematiclearning are dull, the studnets feel enormous pressure in the study, so that they don’t like the"thematic study of Chinese ". Teachers should pay attention to students’ reactions in learning.The author feels the teachers’ frustration and confusion in the face of students andparents.They are desperate for new strategies to promote the thematic learning, to enablestudents to focus on a large number of internal and external courses reading, in order todevelop good reading habits, experience the importance of reading for life.This topic strive to explore the thematic learning in junior high school for a morecomprehensive, more theoretical depth, help to solve the problems of thematic learning injunior high school, the results of the research can be directly applied to teaching practice, it also can guide the actual work and provide a reference for the current language teachingreform in junior high school.
