Geometric intuition is a method to describe and analyze mathematical problems with the help of figures. By using this method, the complicated mathematical problems can be more concise and more visual. It also helps to explore the thoughts of solving problems and predicting results. As one of the ten key concepts of the formulation and implementation of full-time compulsory education math curriculum standards (revised), geometric intuition is an important method of mathematics teaching and mathematics study in junior high school, and it is also a powerful tool to explore modern mathematics. One of the goals of compulsory education curriculum is that teachers use geometric intuition to provide effective teaching and students use geometric intuition to solve mathematical problems. That’s why I choose geometric intuition to do a research on teaching practice.There are five chapters for the geometric intuition study in this thesis, which are as follows:Raise the study subject of this thesis:1.Sort the connotations of Geometric intuition by collecting and analyzing the relevant documents and on the basis of reference documents; 2.Design questionnaires based on the relevance documents, and find some problems that the teachers and students have in the understanding of geometric intuition; 3. Analyze the existing problems and give useful suggestions on how teachers can use Geometric intuition to improve their teaching in combination of coure objectives.Analyze the connotation of Geometric intuition, do a questionnaire about the understanding of Geometric intuition, and finally get conclusions of the teachers and junior high school students’understanding in Geometric intuition:1. Some teachers only get one-sided understanding of Geometric intuition; 2. Most teachers don’t fully understand the course objectives of Geometric intuition; 3. Most of the teachers don’t get the systematic understanding of how to put Geometric intuition into teach; 4. Students are not good at analyzing problems by figures; 5. Students are weak in intuitive reasoning by using figures.Some suggestions on how to improve the students’ability of Geometric intuition are giveml.The teachers should lower the requirements on the "formalization" of some concepts, instead, they should use practical examples to encourage students to experience math and describe the math concept by easy-understanding language; 2. Teachers should try their best to explain the generative process in the mathematical proposition teaching, and try to use geometry to explain the algebra in the formulated proposition; 3. Teachers should try to encourage the students to use straightforward figures to analyze problems in problem-solving teaching, and do the intuitive reasoning initiatively; 4. The teachers should emphasize the math activity course to accumulate experience in students’geometry activity and cultivate their innovation consciousness. |
