The term of "Geometric Intuition" appeared in the "Mathematics Curriculum Standards of High School",which was issued in 2003.In the implementation of the recommendations,it clearly pointed out that we should not only strengthen the geometric intuition,put emphasis on the role of graphics in mathematics learning, but also encourage students to think with the help of intuition. In the "Mathematics Curriculum Standards in Compulsory Education(2011 Edition)",the "Geometric Intuition" was clearly stated as one of the ten "core concept" for the first time,which was received much concern.This study aims at investigating the normal students’ geometric intuition abilities from the perspective of pre-employment training.During the research,the author need to read the literature, know clearly about the connotation,the manifestation,and the function of geometric intuition firstly.Secondly,by means of teachers’ interview and class visiting, to know the use of geometric intuition,then prepare for the designing of the test.Next, the author conducts a test to know the normal students’ geometric intuition abilities and their understanding of the geometric teaching. Finally,based on the analysis of the result, put forward some teaching suggestions for cultivating normal students’geometric intuition abilities.In the teachers’ interview,we find that few teachers have a thorough understanding of geometric intuition,most teachers misunderstanding the geometric intuition;some teachers think that the geometric intuition is equivalent to the combination of number and shape;some believe that geometric intuition is mainly used for the part of geometric knowledge,and some even confuse the geometric intuition with the concept of space.In the class visiting, the author found that teachers have deviation in understanding geometric intuition,but they can always use geometric intuition in their teachingjust like emphasizing the importance of graphics, underling the cultivation of drawing ability,the intuitive understanding of the mathematical concept and thinking problems with geometric intuition and so on.The survey about "normal students’ understanding of geometric intuition"shows that most students’ understanding of geometric intuition stays on the level of understanding.Few normal students clearly know the connotation,manifestation of geometric intuition.From the survey of normal students’geometric intuition abilities,we draw the following conclusions: normal students have the basic abilities of geometric intuition,most of them have high abilities of identifying the images and using the symbolic-graphic combination well.As for solving some comprehensive problems,they can not use geometric intuition flexibly. In addition,the ability to construct graph and the teaching ability of using geometric intuition need to be improved.Geometric intuition not only exists in the teaching of geometry,but also runs through the whole process of mathematics teaching.In the cultivating of normal students, we should pay more attention to the "Geometric Intuition", This paper presents the following teaching suggestions for training normal students’ geometric intuition abilities:(1)To strengthen the normal students’ basic mathematics ability. Through various means to develop normal students’ space imagination,intuitive insight and the ability of use the "graphic language" to think. (2) To strengthen the normal students’ teaching knowledge and practical ability by studying the Teaching Method course,adopting mico-teaching,establishing a mook class and starting teaching practice and so on.
