Chinese Learning has important implications for human development of all-round development and life-long, extra-curricular reading as an extension language learning, to promote good pupils to learn and grow. High-grade elementary school students in special age, reading ability is crucial.High-grade elementary school students in extracurricular reading is facing strong student interest, whether the scientific method, the content is healthy habits are good, and many other problems, which the pupils to read the status quo need our attention and research to find the crux of the problem, for extracurricular reading to seek new development in the flood of information in modern society.In this paper, some of the major research using questionnaires, selection of Changsha city as a sample of five primary schools were randomly selected for each grade four to six students in a class for the survey, questionnaires were collected and analyzed samples from extracurricular interest in reading and motivation, time and content, habits and way of extracurricular reading guide and other aspects of the current status of student extracurricular compulsory reading for a more comprehensive understanding.For elementary school high school students extracurricular reading problems with literature Institute of the latest results obtained, the following recommendations on various aspects of students, parents, teachers, etc:Students actively extracurricular reading, parents fully support the students’ extracurricular reading, teacher of science to guide students extracurricular reading, school extracurricular reading for students to create the conditions for the pupils to read publishers spiritual guide.
