Research On The "Instructional Design Of Unit-themes" Of Junior High School Language Textbook PEP

With the advance of new curriculum reform, the design ofChinese textbooks has evolved,“thematic units design mode”has come into being.“Humanistic theme” becomes a key element of unit-organization. It requires theteaching to pay more attention to the theme, giving full play to the teaching functionsand guiding values of unit-themes. However, teachers are often staying in the fuzzyperceptual level for it, fail to give full play to the teaching functions and guiding valuesof unit-themes. This is affecting the quality of Chinese teaching and learning. In orderto fully solve the problem, the paper, in accordance with the spirit of the NewCurriculum, analyzing the unit-theme designed characteristics and teachingrequirements by means of the knowledge of pedagogy, psychology and other disciplines,which is a basis of unit-themes instructional design. It can provide macroscopic ideas tofully play to the teaching functions and guiding values of unit-themes.This paper has four chapters. Chapter I analyzes the teaching status of unit-themes,and finds its causes and solutions, then, analyzing the basis of unit-themes designed andgrasping the deep meaning of it, which provides theoretical support for the unit-themesteaching. Chapter II establishes the classification standards for unit-themes, then give aclassification to it, which aims to capture the teaching differences of different types’unit-themes. The chapter III analyzes the designed characteristics of different types’unit-themes, providing the basis for the Instructional design of different types’unit-themes. The chapter IV explores the Instructional design’s basic requirements ofunit-themes. Such as: objectives, requirements, principles, the specific requirements,methods of operation. It provides concrete operational ideas for unit-themesInstructional design.
