In Chinese civilization of five thousand years, ancient poetry occupies a very important position. Ancientpoetry, whose artistic conception is beautiful; whose concept is rich and philosophical and whose languageis concise and catchy, has been passed down for thousands of years, affected generations of the Chinesepeople and inherited the lifeblood of the nation’s culture. Poems of Tang dynasty, words of Song dynastyand songs of Yuan dynasty are all descriptions of the phenomena in the world, the summary of nature’s law,the praise of beautiful rivers and magnificent mountains and the yearning of better life. They contain a largeamount of biological knowledge. In biology teaching process, if we can integrate these poems into theclass, we can not only strengthen the appeal of the class but also make the class rich in beauty. Enabling thestudents perceive the biological knowledge in the poems simulating students ’ interest in learning,perceiving beauty and feeling the harmony between man and nature will surely let us better accomplish thegoal of teaching biology course required and gain good results.Cultural heritage is also an important part of patriotism. Nowadays, we put too much emphasis on Englishbut the importance of ancient poems. In face of the inburst of foreign culture, thousands of people blindlyfollow this trend because of immediate interests. The passion of learning English, Japanese and Korean hasexceeded that of learning Chinese. It is surveyed that the senior high school students know little of ancientpoetry and seriously lack knowledge of the ancient culture. Advocating strengthening the teaching ofclassical poetry is to make our students have a better understanding of our national culture. Many studentsare able to write coherent and beautiful English essay but they can’t write a Chinese poetry sentence thatconform to their moods. This paper will combine theory and student questionnaires, interviews andstudents together to discuss the methods and significance of integrating the ancient poems into senior highschool biology classroom.The first chapter presents the value of ancient poetry in senior high school biology teaching, the theoreticalbasis of this research background, significance and research. The second chapter summarizes the ancientpoetry in senior high school biology knowledge of penetration. The third chapter presents the ancient poems application methods in biology classroom. The fourth chapter in the form of a questionnaire surveyof students in the biological knowledge of ancient poetry to grasp the situation, through interviews withsenior high school teachers and students to understand the ancient poetry in senior high school biologyteaching methods penetration, current situation and problems faced. The fifth chapter in the basis ofquestionnaires and interviews with students wishing to come before the conclusion of ancient poetrypenetration in biological studies. Application Notes Chapter VI pointed out that ancient poetry teaching inbiology class.The purpose of this paper is to study the feasibility and necessity through the teaching of penetration ofancient poetry, draw an effective appeal and improve classroom teaching methods in favor of Chinesecultural heritage. In the critical period from the "examination-oriented education "to" quality education"change, provide some reference for the effective implementation of teaching biology teacher.
