With the increasing continuous development of our reform andopening-up and the increasing width of our internationalcommunications, English has become an indispensable tool with whichpeople of the twenty-first century can develop world-widecommunication and cooperation. For economic and trade kind ofsecondary vocational school, it is the cultivation for the industries,companies front-line staff, learning English is very necessary,since China’s accession to the WTO, with foreign cooperation businessincreasing, English is closely related to the students on the jobin the future.But in reality, the secondary vocational student’sEnglish learning are not idealistic. In order to promote studentsEnglish learning motivation and improve the English teaching qualityof the secondary vocational school. In this paper, for the Economicand Trade kind of the secondary vocational school in GuiZhou province:the Economic and Trade School of The GuiZhou province, this thesishas made a study on the present problems, cause of formation andfurther development of the English learning motivation.On the basis of classifying related literature, the thesischose The Economic and Trade School of The GuiZhou province assample.With the method of questionnaire and interview,English learning motivation of the current situation, the existing problemsand cause of formation are analyzed On this basis the author putforward her proposals and thoughts on the further development ofEnglish learning motivation of the Economic and Trade kind of thethe secondary vocational school.The thesis consists of five parts:1.Introduction,researchbackground, purpose, significance, research review at home andabroad,and the ways of thinking and methods to illustrate;2.Aboutthe related concept definition and the theory basis of learningmotivation;3.Analysis the Present situation and problems of Englishlearning motivation of secondary vocational student’s of theEconomic and Trade School of The GuiZhou province;4.Analysis themain cause of English learning motivation of the secondary vocationalstudents.5.Take countermeasures and Suggestions to stimulateEnglish learning motivation of the secondary vocational students.As a secondary vocational school English teachers, should studyand follow the secondary vocational student’s psychologicalcharacteristic, and properly guide students realize the importanceof learning English, to stimulate interest in English study,especially the intrinsic motivation of learning English. At the sametime, the influence of the secondary vocational students of Englishlearning motivation, has internal factors, external factors such as school, family and social factors. To improve English learningmotivation of the secondary vocational school students’ from thestudents themselves, school, society and family factors. Finally,to put forward some strategies for secondary vocational English andlearning motivation, to stimulate the secondary vocational student’sEnglish learning interest and confidence,to improve thecomprehensive quality of teachers, to adjust the secondaryvocational school English teaching method, to diverse teachingevaluation method etc. It is discussed how to stimulate studentsinterested in learning English, to enhance learning motivationeducation teaching strategy.
