The Research On The Elderly’s Long-term Care Of Pension Institutions In Shenyang

With people’s living standard gradually improved and the average life expectancy continuously extension, most elderly people need someone to care for a long time, especially the advanced age people who experienced self-care ability of daily living by the deadline for a long time with weak or chronic diseases. They need someone to care, this is called long-term care in the western country. The long-term care mainly in order to improve the disabled and half-disabled elderly’s quality of life, not to solve the specific medical problem. There are three kinds of long-term care modes in our country now, they are family care, community care and institutional care. Because of the function of family care weaken and the limitation of community care, the institutional care gradually become support in the field of long-term care. Pension institutions long-term care is the most common type. It can provide professional and formal care services. The research on long-term care of pension institutions in our country, pay close attention to its influence on quality of life for the elderly. For improving the standard of care services, completed the long-term care system is of great significance.Shenyang is an old industrial city in northern China, with long history and large population. There are great proportion of elderly people and serious aging problem. So, this article is based on the reality of the elderly people and pension institutions in Shenyang.5 districts of Shenyang intra-urban city and 10 pension institutions as the research object. We do fact-finding on the reality situation, the demand of long-term care, the supply of long-term care services in institutions, human resources of pension institutions long-term care, long-term care policies and other aspects of the elderly people. At the same time, we also reference to the related research results and theoretical knowledge of long-term care services abroad study. Then, we analysis the situation, the problems and the restriction factors of pension institutions development in long-term care. From research we have found that long-term care of pension institutions service level is rising in China and some shortcomings are still exist. The author aim at the problems and the foreign successful experience, from several perspectives of the lows, regulations, society, fund, institutions and education, then puts forward some countermeasures to improve pension institutions in long-term care of pension Institutions.
