Interpersonal trust is a kind of attitude, which mainly reflect whether the other is creditable or the degree of his or her reliability. It is also an assement of others words, intent, and the personality when they face uncertain events. Previous researchs found that college students’ interpersonal trust level is gradually declining, so this study try to research the effects of social identity complexity, group characteristics of social identity and the third party information on the interpersonal trust of college students.The investigation surveies the level of interpersonal trust of College students with "general trust scale". At the same time, researcher investigates the students’ social ide ntity with a self report. The results found that the number of College Students’ social identity varies from 4 to 6,and the everage number is 5.And the highest frequency of the four social identity are "family", "students", "Chinese", "political identity".In experiment 1, researcher try toresearch the effect of social identity complexity(high/low)and the third party(positive/negative) on interpersonal trust level and explore the interaction between the two independent variables with the designed scene that passerfalls. The experimental results show that:(1)The social identitycomplexity of the trustee has a significant impact on credibility, and the subjects have higher level of trust to the group of highly social identity complexity.(2) The effect of third party information on credibility is significant, and the positive third party information can significantly improve the credibility of the trusted person.(3) There is ansignificant interaction between the social identity complexity of the trustee and the third party information.The social identity complexity of the trustdd can enhance the role of the third party information.In experiment 2, researcher try toresearch the effect of group characteristics of social identity(innergroup/outgroup) and the third party information(positive/negative) on interpersonal trust level and explore the interaction between the two independent variables with the designed scene that passerfalls.The experimental results show that:(1) The type of social identity of the trustee has a significant impact on credibility. And the subjects have a higher level of trust to those with innergroup social identity.(2) The influence of the third party information on the credibility is significant, and the positive third party information can significantly improve the credibility of the trustee.(3) There was no interaction between group characteristics of social identity and the trusted third party information.
