Good inter-ethnic trust between ethnic groups not only promotes the healthy development of inter-ethnic relations,but also facilitates the exchange of ethnic cultures and inter-ethnic communication.Therefore,inter-ethnic trust among different ethnic groups has become an important and key indicator of ethnic relations.In ethnic minority areas,ethnic identity is an important factor affecting the breadth and depth of inter-ethnic exchanges.Inner Mongolia is a multi-ethnic settlement area where the Mongolian is the main ethnic group and the Han is the majority of the population.Inter-ethnic communication has become an inevitable and indispensable important content in people's daily life.Based on the basic regional situation in Inner Mongolia,from the perspective of group identity,It is of practical significance to explore the influence mechanism of national identity on interpersonal trust in inter-ethnic communication between Mongolian and Han college students,which has practical significance for promoting national unity,national integration and friendly exchanges between nationalities.In this study,Mongolian and Han college students are used as the research object,and the trust game experiment paradigm is used to examine the national identity and the ethnic stereotypes,social distances,and the construction of common internal groups on interpersonal trust.The following research results were obtained through three sets of experiments:(1)In the case of a separate examination of national identity,Mongolian college students show higher internal group trust in cognition,but there is no significant difference between internal and external groups in behavior level;In terms of cognitive and behavioral levels,the Han people's trust in the ethnic group and the Mongolian people are not significantly different..(2)The interpersonal trust of the Mongolian people with the Han nationality is significant at the behavior level,and the main effect of positivestereotype is significant.In the interpersonal trust at the cognitive level,the main effect of positive stereotype and social distance is significant.The interaction of Han people's trust in Mongolian people with positive stereotypes and social distances at the behavioral and cognitive level reached a significant level,with the highest level of interpersonal trust under high positive stereotypes and near social distances.(3)The main effect of Mongolian interpersonal trust on Han nationality is positive stereotypes at the behavior level;at the cognitive level,the main effect of group identity within the common is significant,the main effect of social distance is significant,and the positive stereotypes are significant.The interpersonal trust of the Han nationality with the Mongolian nationality has significant interactions among the group identity,positive stereotypes,and social distance in terms of behavior and cognitive level.The above research results indicate that in inter-ethnic communication,stimulating the group identity of Mongolian and Han college students has a significant impact on interpersonal trust.The ethnic stereotypes and social distance caused by group identity have a significant impact on interpersonal trust.High inter-personal trust will be generated,and the establishment of a common group identity can increase the level of inter-personal trust.
