This paper, with the method of contrastive linguistics and cognitive linguistics, makes a comparative analyses of the differences and similarities of Cultural connotation and Cognitive semantics of Mongolian and Chinese words about colors, taking the words red, white, black, yellow, and blue as examples.The paper consists of five parts:Introduction, Chapter One, Chapter Two, The Conclusion and The Reference.The Introduction part introduces the reason of choosing this topic, the current research situation, research methods, data sources and so on.The Chapter One compares and analyzes the differences and similarities of Cultural connotation of Mongolian and Chinese color words, red, white, black, yellow, blue, and analyzed the causes of the differenceThe Chapter Two discusses the feature and function of both Mongolian and Chinese words about colors. And it elaborates the significance that Cognitive linguistics studies words about colors.
