Through the data about Huang and Yellow which are collected respectively from the Great Chinese Dictionary and Oxford English Dictionary. We could see the cultural connotation implied by the similarities and differences by the analysis of the proportion of the commendatory terms and derogatory terms, corresponding models between the concept meaning and the cultural meaning as well as the translation changing types of the emotion. The differences are attributed to the deep differences which are implied in the value ideas,cultural appreciation of beauty and psychology. The article aims to strengthen the accuracy of words meaning and translation as well as the cross-cultural awareness and capacity,which attribute to the practical teaching of translation ,lexical terms,cross cultural communication and theoretical quality,research approaches and ideas.
