An Analysis Of The Cultural Semantics Of Manchu Color Words

Color words are an integral part of the language vocabulary system.Color words in different ethnic languages have their own specific meanings and linguistic and cultural functions.The color words in the ethnic language record the historical track of a ethnic group.The study of color words is not only the exploration and revelation of the unique culture and history of a ethnic group,but also the study of the unique thinking and concept of a ethnic group different from other ethnic groups.This paper uses the interdisciplinary theoretical method of cultural linguistics to define the cultural semantics of Manchu color words,and makes a systematic discussion on the cultural implications of Manchu color words in Manchu society from the perspectives of natural environment,living customs,political system,beliefs and customs.The relationship between cultural semantics of color words in Manchu and the development of social culture is demonstrated in many aspects.Through the analysis and research,the uniqueness and development of Manchu culture are further revealed,which enriches the study of color words in ethnic language and provides concrete evidence for the study of the pluralistic integration of Chinese culture.The thesis is divided into three chapters.The first chapter defines and classifies the cultural semantic research of color words in Manchu.This paper analyzes and discusses the color words with ethnic cultural connotation in Manchu language in order to reveal the cultural characteristics of Manchu reflected by the color words.According to the classification of cultural semantics of Manchu color words,it can be divided into life custom cultural semantics,belief custom cultural semantics,social cultural semantics and ethnic relations cultural semantics.Chapter two and chapter three analyze and discuss the cultural semantics of Manchu color words from five aspects.The research shows that the color words in Manchu are closely related to the natural ecological environment,living customs,social and political system and way of thinking and cognition of the Manchu people.At the same time,the cultural semantics of the color words in Manchu can reflect the unique ethnic cultural connotation generated in the historical development and change of the Manchu people.
