Research On The Semantic Evolution Of The Mental Verbs In Pre Qin Dynasty

We know that the psychological verb is an important subclass of the verb, it is said that the intention, emotion, understanding, feeling, thinking and other aspects of the mental or psychological state. And the significance of the pre Qin literature as the beginning of Chinese literature is of great significance, therefore, based on the psychological analysis of the verbs in pre Qin period the object of study, the selection of representative The Book of Poetry and Xunzi as an example, analyzes the psychological verbs in the two novels. This paper study on the psychological verbs mainly from two aspects, the first is starting from the angle of semantics, the semantic of the pre Qin reflected psychological verbs are discussed, then from the representative works of the diachronic analysis of the pre Qin psychological verbs.According to these two ideas, we divided the article into the following parts.First, the introduction part. This paper mainly discusses the psychological verbs the concept and research situation, and according to the previous studies of psychological verbs and their understanding of psychological verbs determined for the criterions of psychological verbs in the pre Qin period, according to the standard determined the pre Qin period of 104 relatively representative of psychological verbs. Then, from the point of view of semantics and syntax of pre Qin psychological verbs are classified.The first chapter and the second chapter respectively from the perspective of semantic classification of mood and thinking psychological verbs for analysis, according to the different semantic further classification, in the semantic analysis of each category in each psychological verbs, from the diachronic angle analysis the semantic development of each kind of the psychological verb changes.The third chapter summarizes the three laws of pre Qin psychological verbs of diachronic evolution from the perspective of semantic meaning: that psychological verbs psychological activities more easy to preserve its meaning; extended meaning for direct verbs than the indirect meaning for a long time use of psychological verbs; said psychological activity disyllabic words are monosyllabic by a combination of word meaning similar or related together. At the same time according to the characteristics of pre Qin psychological verbsdiachronic change analysis of the three main reasons of diachronic evolution. First, syllable,modern Chinese disyllabic trend. Secondly, the semantic communication, expand the scope of the requirements of semantic expression richness and accuracy. Finally, with the progress and development of society, people pay more attention to the expression efficiency, requires a more streamlined and more accurate production of new words.The fourth chapter is the conclusion of this article, which summarizes the general situation and the changing law of the mental verbs in the pre Qin period.
