Social skills is also known as the social interaction skills, individual intervention, adaptation, development, coordination and disposition of social skills, a is the ability to influence and control others. Everybody lives in a certain social relations, the survival and development of individual person cannot do without his relationship with the surrounding people, social skills, quality of life, the work efficiency and the mental health of individuals have an important value [1]. In recent years, due to social conflict and psychological problems of college students violence, crime, Dutch act and other events frequently appear in newspapers, causing great loss to the school, the family and society, should be highly emphasized by the society. Generally, poor social skills can lead to a lack of social support, lack of social support is likely to trigger a series of psychological problems, mental health. The purpose of this study is to understand the Chongqing city college students social skills, social support and mental health status, and gender, nationality, grade, professional and other factors on university students social skills, social support and mental health effects, and attempts to research on the relationship between social support and mental health, social skills.This research uses the questionnaire survey method, taking into account the junior college students and bachelor’s degree students close in age, the education level of similarity, compiled by Mao Xinhua "College Students Social Skills Scale","Xiao Shuiyuan system of social support rating scale", Wang Xin’s "university students mental health scale". Using SPSS19.0for statistical analysis of the data, the results of the study shows that:(1) Chongqing City College Students’ social skills scores than girls, and the relationship on a very significant difference; Han nationality students are lower than the average score of minority students in the face of the other party, altruistic behavior and total score, and in the face of a significant difference; only child in the face of the other party, social networking, altruistic behavior, relationship and total average score is higher than the non only child, and the difference is significant; social skill of each factor and the total score from the town of college students were higher than the average of students from rural areas, but were not significant difference; the score of student cadre’s social skills are higher than that of non student cadre, and a significant difference; score were lower than the science students of liberal arts students in social skills, and there were significant differences in each other’s face, relationship and total score; generally speaking, in the first grade in college students was the lowest, and the second grade was significantly higher than in the first grade, the third grade is high growth is not obvious, scoring only slightly higher than the second grade. The altruistic behavior had no significant difference in the three grade, the other factors showed significant difference.(2) Chongqing city college students social support level there is no difference between men and women, boys and girls are basically the same as the degree of social support; Han nationality students in addition to this dimension availability on the social relations, the rest are slightly lower than that of minority students, the overall level; from the town of college students social support on each dimension, all higher than college students from the countryside, and in subjective support and the total average score showed more significant differences: the only child of social support in all three dimensions and total score were all higher than the non only child, and has significant difference; student cadre in the social support of each dimension and the total average score was higher than that in the non student cadre, and very significant difference; liberal arts students in social support, subjective support, objective support score average slightly lower than the science students, but no significant difference; social support score a minimum, from one to two, there is an obvious growth process, and the three highest score. Sophomore average score is higher than that Freshman in social support all factors, and Junior in social support each latitude on average than the Sophomore, each dimension of social support in the three grade were significant differences.(3) college students social skills and social support had significant positive correlation, was significantly negatively correlated with social skills, social support and mental health.(4) college students social skills and social support. Regression equation was statistically significantly on mental health is a good predictor.(5)social skillsthrough social supportinfluence onmental health, social support, mediating effect.
