Objective To investigate the expressions of HIF-1ɑ and PLGF in patients with advanced gastric cancer tissue and para-carcinoma tissue in Hehuang Valley, analyzing the correlation between the expression of HIF-1ɑ and he expression of PLGF, as well as the relationship between them two factors and clinical parameters of gastric cancer. To discuss the clinical significance of these two factors in occurrence and development of gastric cancer.Method Collecting the 60 patients that have diagnosed as advanced gastric cancer who live in Hehuang Valley during October 2014 to October 2015 in the Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University. Investigating the expressions of HIF-1ɑ and PLGF of gastric cancer tissue and para-carcinoma tissue by immunohistochemical method(SABC staining), and analyzing the different expressions of HIF-1ɑ and PLGF and the correlation about their expressions by using statistical methods.Results The positive ratio(71.67%) of HIF-1ɑ in gastric cancer tissue is obvious higher than its positive ratio(3.33%) in para-carcinoma tissue, while the positive ratio(68.33%) of PLGF in gastric cancer tissue is obvious higher than its positive ratio(1.67%) in para-carcinoma tissue, and the difference is statically significant(P<0.05). The expressions condition of HIF-1ɑ and PLGF has something to do with tumor infiltration depth, lymph node metastasis situation, TNM staging, which is statistically significant(P<0.05). The expression condition has nothing to do with tumor differentiation degree, tumor diameter, gender and age, which is no statistically significant difference(P>0.05). The expression of HIF-1ɑ and PLGF in gastric carcinoma tissue has no correlation(χ2=0.144, P=0.704), and there is no statistically significant difference.Conclusion The expressions level of HIF-1ɑ and PLGF in the cancer tissue of advanced gastric cancer patients is much higher than that of para-carcinoma tissue, which prompting that HIF-1ɑ and PLGF possibly participate in occurrence of advanced gastric cancer in Hehuang Valley. The expression level of HIF-1ɑ and PLGF rises following the development of tumor infiltration depth, lymph node metastasis situation, TNM staging of gastric cancer patients, which means that it might play a role in invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer in Hehuang Valley. PLGF is probably not the downstream target gene of HIF-1α, while HIF-1α may participate in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer through downstream target genes, and both of them may play a role via different signaling pathways to the occurrence and development of gastric cancer.
