The Clinical Observation Of Relaxing Tendons Soup Fumigation On Postoperative Rehabilitation Of Rotator Cuff Repair

Objective:The objective of this study was to observe the effect of relaxing tendons soup fumigation on postoperative shoulder joint function rehabilitation and its activity of patients with shoulder rotator cuff repair.Methods:40 postoperative patients were collected by the department of orthopaedics of Fujian provincial hospital from November 2014 to October 2015. They were allocated randomly into experimental group and control group with 20 patients each group. The patients in the control group were received the routine cure of ice compress of for swelling and bleeding, fixing side shoulder joint through shoulder sling in outreach 60° state for 6 weeks. The patients in the experimental group were received the routine cure of relaxing tendons soup fumigation after 2 weeks of postoperative besides the cure in the control group, the water temperature of fumigation was 35℃ to 40℃, the frequency of fumigation was 30 minutes per time,2 times a day for 4 weeks. After 2 weeks,4 weeks,6 weeks,8 weeks of postoperative, VAS pain score and UCLA shoulder joint function score in the two groups were measured and the datas were analyzed through the statistical analysis.Results:1. There were no statistical differences between VAS pain scores and UCLA shoulder joint function scores after 2 weeks of postoperative in the two groups with P values> 0.05.2. There were statistical differences between VAS pain scores and UCLA shoulder joint function scores after 4 weeks,6 weeks,8 weeks of postoperative in the two groups with P values < 0.05; Compare the Mean rank, the VAS pain scores in the experimental group after 4 weeks,6 weeks,8 weeks of postoperative were lower than the control group, UCLA shoulder joint function scores in the experimental group after 4 weeks,6 weeks,8 weeks of postoperative were higher than the control group.3. The shoulder joint function recovery in the experimental group after 4 weeks,6 weeks,8 weeks of postoperative were respectively 80%,75% and 85%, and were significantly higher than the control group with 40%,40% and 55% respectively, P values were all below 0.05 by the chi-square test.Conclusion:Relaxing tendons soup fumigation can ease the pain of patients after shoulder rotator cuff repair, improve the function of the postoperative shoulder joint.
