Objective To explore the value of T2 mapping quantitative analysis on rotator cuff injury classification using T2 mapping 3.0 magnetic resonance imaging scanner. Methods Collected 32 patients with shoulder joint pain suspected rotator cuff injury from January to August in 2017.Among them,male:12 cases,female:20 cases, age 35-60.With 3.0THDXT GE magnetic resonance imaging scanner scanner,8 channel shoulder joint special coil. The MRI scan sequence and parameters:the routine MRI scan sequence of shoulder joint:Fast spin echo T1 weighted imaging?TSE T1WI?,Fat suppression fast spin echo T2 weighted imaging?FS TSE T2WI and Fat suppression proton weighted?FS TSE PD?;MR T2 mapping?T2 mapping?.All MRI sequence and T2 mapping image were read by two senior physicians with rich experiences of MRI,classification of rotator cuff injury were done by physicians after reading.Measured and recorded T2 relaxation time of region of interest?region of interest,ROI?.To compare T2 different grades of rotator cuff injury with single factor analysis of variance, and using single factor variance analysis and the difference was statistically significant,P<0.05 for statistical significance. The correlation between MR T2 mapping and MRI for rotator cuff injury classification was done by Spearman correlation analysis. Results ?1?The grades of patients with rotator cuff injury:normal rotator cuff 4 cases;rotator cuff injury 24 cases, including grade I 5 cases, grade II 13 cases, grade III 6 cases.2?The average T2 values of imedial, middle, lateral in grade 0,I,II and III of rotator cuff injury were:28.394±0.745,30.471±1.048,32.500±0.963;33.587±0.831,39.344±0.921,67.564±0.542;53.195±3.285,64.555±1.140,84.450±1.356;33.61.041±1.543;66.964±1.653,95.225±2.505 respectively. The T2 average values of lesions area of rotator cuff injury increasd with the increasing level of rotator cuff injury, significant statistical significance?P<0.05?.Conclusion MR T2 mapping could be used for quantitative evaluation of rotator cuff injury.
