Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Changsanzhen Plus Warming Acupuncture For Fhronic Diarrhea

ObjectiveChronic diarrhea is a kind of clinical frequent diseases that causes defecating even watery diarrhea 3 times or more a day. These symptoms may last over 3 weeks and can occurs at all ages. Patients suffer a lot physically as well as mentally from chronic diarrhea for its long disease course. By means of this clinical observation, we try to assess the clinical efficacy of Changsanzhen plus warming acupuncture for chronic diarrhea.MethodsSelect patients in line with chronic diarrhea diagnostic and other requirements, which were asked at the beginning, were divided into treatment group and control group randomly in simple method. There were 33 cases per group. Patients in treatment group were treated by ways of Changsanzhen plus warming acupuncture. Select points of Changsanzhen includes Guangyuan、 Tianshu(both sides) and Shangjuxu(both sides). It went 3 times per week and lasted 3 weeks,9 times in all. Meanwhile control group patients took Bifico to be as therapy, it took 2 times a day and continued 3 weeks. We got data through performances of the two groups, marked by a scale, and compared the differences of their clinical efficacies by statistical analysis.Results5 cases were lost during treatments, remaining 61 cases, including 31 cases in treatment group and 30 in control group.1. Pre-treatment, there were no significant differences between two groups in gender, age, course etc. (P>0.05), two groups of comparable.2. On the tenth day, treatment group and control group both performed better after treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). It failed to tell in which way of treatments took action faster.3. At the termination of treatments, between the treatment group and the control group there had statistical difference in the total effective rate (P<0.05), the treatment group performed better. All the observed symptoms of two groups both got improvements after being treated (P<0.05).Compared the two groups, the treatment group got better improvements in total therapeutic effect and in curative effects on stool property, appetite, stamina than the control group (P<0.05), while the remaining symptoms had no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05).4.2 weeks after treatments, the treatment group had the same (P>0.05) total effective rate as its own at the end of the treatment, while the control group’s got the a worse one(P<0.05). Treatment of Changsanzhen plus warming acupuncture for chronic diarrhea could maintain a longer curative effect than curing by taking Bifico.ConclusionIn this research, by comparing with taking Bifico to cure chronic diarrhea, we try to assess the clinical efficacy of Changsanzhen plus warming acupuncture for chronic diarrhea.The results of the study told two of the treatments had taken action on the thenth day. The treatment of Changsanzhen plus warming acupuncture performed better in total effective rate, and it got the better improvements in total therapeutic effect and in curative effects on stool property, appetite, stamina than the way of taking Bifico had. Treatment of Changsanzhen plus warming acupuncture for chronic diarrhea can maintain a longer curative effect than curing by taking Bifico.The two therapeutic methods in the whole the treatmental process occured no any adverse situation.To treat chronic diarrhea, Changsanzhen plus warming acupuncture is suitable for application for its simple, safe and effective.
