Clinical Study Of Tonifying Kidney,Relieving Damp-heat And Activating Blood Treatment On Stage Ⅳ Of Type 2 Diabetic Nephropathy

Objective To observe and evaluate the clinical effect of tonifying kidney, relieving damp-heat and activating blood treatment on stage IV of type 2 diabetic nephropathy, and explore its mechanism.Method 50 Patients in stage IV of type 2 diabetic nephropathy were selected. They were treated by Professor Sun Wei from March 2014 to March 2016 in the nephropathy department of Jiangsu Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. First, we collected the main efficacy indicators, like TCM symptom scores, serum albumin,24-hour urinary protein quantitation, urine protein quantitative, serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, glomerular filtration rate, fasting blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin. At the same time, we collected key safety indicators, including blood routine and liver function. Then, we retrospectively studied the clinical data of these cases and carried on statistics processing to the data. Finally, we summarized the curative effect characteristics of the tonifying kidney, relieving damp-heat and activating blood treatment according to the statistical results, and discussed the mechanism of this method on the basis of the clinical experience and the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, which was accumulated by my supervisor for many years.Results After 8 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate about TCM symptom was 70%. After the treatment, the therapeutic effect of TCM symptom scores, serum albumin,24-hour urinary protein quantitation, urine protein quantitative, serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen and glomerular filtration rate has statistical significance(P<0.05). Besides, the change of white blood cells, platelets, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase and serum potassium has no statistical significance(.P>0.05).Conclusions The tonifying kidney, relieving damp-heat and activating blood treatment can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of patients in stage IV of type 2 diabetic nephropathy, control the level of proteinuria and protect renal function. The method doesn’t have obvious side effect, and it has good security. Long-term treatment can delay the progress of the disease.
