The Analysis Observation Of Transverse Insertion Line Needing Catgut Embedding Method Prophylactic Treatment Of Migraine Without Aura

Objective:Through clinical research observation of transverse insertion line needing catgut embedding method prophylactic treatment of migraine without aura, designed for embedding therapy treatment group and the placebo control group embedding therapy, to exclude placebo in patients with subjective psychological factor caused effects on treatment efficacy.Methods:Collect cases in the outpatient Encephalopathy department of Nanjing Hospital of T.C.M, with migraine without aura, and the prevention and treatments of patients required two groups:catgut embedding group (treatment group) 49 cases and placebo group (control group) 22 cases. In both groups the acu-points GB-19 towards GB-20 and GV-17 towards GV-16 is needled transversely. The catgut embedding therapy group treatment method:1 Using catgut embedding method.2 Patients take prone position, hands palm overlap downward below the forehead. 3 Routine disinfection the acu-points, using the disposable aseptic forceps take out one 2cm protein-line within the embedding needle.4 Use left hand to pluck the skin around GB-19 which can alleviate the pain of the needle, use right hand to hold the embedding needle and maintain 15 degrees with the scalp. Penetrate the skin quickly, adjust the embedding needle stab towards GB-20 under galea aponeurotica 5 Pull out the embedding needle and embed the protein-line needle in the subgaleal gap.6Hemostasis immediately after injecting the embedded needle.3Apply the same method on the acu-point separated by 1.5 cm on both sides of BG-19, which form a parallel direction with the acu-points GB-19 towards GB-20.8 Apply the same method on the acu-points GV-17 towards GV-16. The placebo control group treatment method: More or less the same treatment methods as the catgut embedding therapy group, with the absence of the protein-line that places in the embedding needle. Both groups were under treatments for 3 times, with a 15 days gap between each of the treatments. Therapeutic effects were evaluated at the end of the treatments after a 4 month follow-up procedure. Observed in migraine pain intensity before and after treatment, the frequency of pain attacks per month, and associated symptoms composite, score compare the efficacy of both groups. SPSS 21.0 software will be used for processing and analyzing.Results:The migraine pain intensity, seizure frequency, and the time of dosing of the catgut embedding group got a significant improvement after the treatments. The difference of statistically data (P<0.05), shown a significantly better result than the placebo control group. On the other hand, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) to show that the comprehensive score and curative effect rating of the catgut embedding group are more effective than the placebo control group.Conclusion:Catgut embedding on the acu-points GB-19 towards GB-20 and GV-17 towards GV-16 may effective in the prevention of migraine headaches, which can reduce pain, seizure frequency, duration and comprehensive score.
