The Clinical Observation On Acupoint Catgut Embedding Therapy In Prevention And Treatment Of Opioid Induced Constipation

Objective To observe the clinical effect of acupoint catgut embedding therapy in prevention and treatment of opioid related constipation.To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the evaluation method of acupoint catgut embedding therapy.Expand the TCM clinical indications of acupoint catgut embedding.To explore a new way for the treatment of opioid related constipation of TCM.Method94 patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into 3 groups according to the number of groups.30 patients in Simple analgesia group just oral oxycontin every 12 hours.The amount depending on the degree of pain.On the basis of the analgesic group,32 cases of acupoint catgut embedding group combined with acupoint catgut embedding therapy.Acupoint selection: Tianshu,ditch,Dachangshu,Zusanli,Shangjuxu,bilateral acupoints.A catgut embedding,maintain two weeks.Mosapride group 32 cases oral oxycontin at the same time oral mosapride,5mg each time,3 times a day for two weeks.Results1 Incidence of constipation The incidence of constipation was 38.71%,48.28%,and 80% respectively in the three groups.The difference of the incidence of constipation between the three groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of constipation of acupoint catgut embedding group and Mosapride group was significantly lower than that of simple analgesic group(P<0.05).Acupoint catgut embedding group and Mosapride group compared,the difference was not statistically significant(.P>0.05).It showed that both acupoint catgut embedding and Mosapride can reduce the incidence of constipation and they have almost the same effect.2 Severity of constipation After treatment,the total score of the three groups of constipation were analyzed.The difference was statistically significant.It shows that the degrees of constipation of three groups are different.The catgut implantation group(8.76 ± 7.38)and Mosapride group(12.39 ± 6.48)constipation symptom severity score was significantly lower than that of simple analgesic group(19.07 ± 7.30)(P<0.05).The constipation symptom severity score of catgut embedding group was lower than the mosapride group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).It showed that both acupoint catgut embedding and Mosapride can reduce the severity of constipation and the acupoint catgut embedding therapy is better than mosapride.3 Clinical symptoms of TCM The total effective rate of three groups of TCM clinical symptoms were respectively87.10%,62.07%,30%.The difference was statistically significant.The clinical symptoms of TCM of the first two groups were better than that of the simple group,the difference was significant(P<0.05).The difference between acupoint catgut embedding group and Mosapride group was statistically significant(P<0.05).It showed that both acupoint catgut embedding and Mosapride can improve the clinical symptoms of TCM and the effect of acupoint catgut embedding therapy was better.Conclusion1.Catgut embedding therapy can effectively reduce the incidence of OIC and can reduce the severity of constipation symptoms.2.Acupoint catgut embedding can prevent and cure OIC,at the same time,it can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with cancer pain and improve the quality of life.3.The safety factor of acupoint catgut embedding operation is high and the adverse reaction is very small.
