Abstract/Summary:
Objective:Through clinical observation of the treatment of liver-qi stagnation with spleen deficiency of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis by Xiao chaihu and Danggui shaoyao Decoction, to assess the clinical curative effect and security. And then explore and provide the objective theoretical basis in treating the Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Methods:In accordance with the randomized and controlled clinical observation method, the patients were divided in two groups, who were diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, as well as the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation with liver-qi stagnation with spleen deficiency, water and blood stasis in December 2014-March 2016, Hospital of hainan province. The control group(20 cases) was treated with euthyrox(oral 25ug each time in morning), and according to the patient’s level of thyroid hormone(FT3, FT4, TSH) to change the dose after 4 weeks. With the basis of the above treatment, the treatment group(20 cases) was plus with Xiao chaihu and Danggui shaoyao Decoction. Two groups were in 4 weeks for a treatment course, three consecutive period of treatment. To observe two groups of patients of thyroid hormone levels, thyroid autoantibodies(TPOAb) level and to assess TCM syndrome integral before and after the treatment. All the datas, including TCM syndrome integral and related physical and chemical indexes, was analyzed with statistical software SPSS19.0.Results:1 The comparison of curative effect of two TCM syndrome:The total effective rate in treatment group was 85% and the control group total effective rate was 55%. By rank-sum test, The treatment group and control group was statistically significant difference(P<0.05). It proved TCM symptoms were improved in both groups, but the treatment group had better efficacy than control group. Also xiao chaihu and danggui shaoyao decoction combined western medicine would improve symptoms better in the treatment of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.2 The comparison of TCM syndrome total integral:By t test, control group and treatment group after treatment of TCM syndrome integral were both decreased(P<0.05), and the treatment group was decreased more obvious(comparison between the two groups P<0.05). There was statistical significance. It shows that the treatment group is better than that in control group in improving the TCM syndrome integral.3 Thyroid hormone level changes:The treatment group and control group after treatment could increase the level of FT3, FT4, reduce the level of TSH. By t test, the treatment group and control group had significant difference before and after treatment(P<0.05). And there was no significant difference after treatment between groups(P>0.05).4 The change of TPOAb comparison:Compared the two groups before treatment, TPOAb was no statistical significance, P>0.05. The two groups before and after treatment comparison(P<0.05), the more differences between groups after treatment(P<0.05).5 Security observation:All participants in the process of treatment had not any adverse reaction and side effects. Conclusion:Xiao chaihu and Danggui shaoyao Decoction had definite clinical effect in the treatment of hashimoto’s thyroiditis. It could improve the patient’s symptoms, signs, and could significantly reduce the degree of thyroid peroxidase antibody. In the process of taking medicine, liver and kidney function, blood, urine and dung routine examination had no obvious abnormalities, showed that its high security and less side effects. It was a safe and effective treatment, that brought out the advantages of combining traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment.
