At present, the contradiction between doctors and patients becomes the focus of social concern. Doctor-patient dispute occurs frequently. "Medical disturbance" and "Medical injury" from patients and their families have not only seriously damaged the physical and mental health of medical staff, but also interfered the normal running of hospitals. It makes the originally fragile doctor-patient relationship become more sensitive. The medical staff is the main provider of medical services, the physical and mental health of them directly affects the quality of patients to enjoy medical services, and it will also affects the efficiency of medical work itself. Therefore, it is very necessary to pay attention to the medical staff perceived doctor-patient relationship and its influence on work engagement, whether it is the physical and mental health of the medical staff or the management of the hospital organization.The research selected a total of 625 medical staff as subjects which are all from secondary and tertiary hospitals in Nanning and Guigang from Guangxi, and Chongqing. By using the method of questionnaire, the medical staff perceived doctor-patient relationship, perceived organizational support and work engagement were investigated. Using SPSS statistical software and related statistical methods to investigate the differences of medical staffs doctor-patient relationship, perceived organizational support, work engagement in demographic variables. This study analyzed the relationship between doctor and patient relationship, perceived organizational support and work engagement, and explores the role of perceived organizational support played in the relationship between doctor-patient relationship and work engagement. The results are as follows:1. The doctor-patient relationship was on the middle level. There were significant differences in gender and position.2. The perceived organization support was at the middle level. There were significant differences in gender, marital status, education level, professional title, hospital level, working life, and job position.3. The work engagement was at the middle level. There were significant differences in gender, education level and position.4. There was a significant negative correlation between the relationship of doctor-patient and the perceived organizational support and its dimensions. There was a significant negative correlation between the doctor-patient relationship and the work engagement and its dimensions. The perceived organizational support was positively correlated with work engagement.5. The doctor-patient relationship and the perceived organizational support had significant predictive effect on work engagement. The perceived organizational support played a partial mediating role in the relationship between the doctor-patient relationship and work engagement.Based on the empirical research, the research putted forward some suggestions to improve the doctor-patient relationship and enhance the organizational support.1. From the perspective of hospital, the research proposed to strengthen the medical staff’s professional ethics construction and hospital culture construction, establish and improve the system of doctor-patient communication, pay attention to the mental health of medical staff, develop their communication skills, and to improve human resources management of the hospital.2. From the perspective of the medical staff, the research proposed to enhance the professional level, strengthen professional ethics and humanistic accomplishment, correct understanding of the relationship between doctors and patients, emphasis on doctor-patient communication, learn to psychological adjustment, and to enhance self-worth.3. From the national perspective, the research proposed to increase the investment in health care, speed up the training of health personnel, improve medical legislation and institution building, and to promote the medical liability insurance system.4. From the perspective of society, the media should have the responsibility to raise awareness, and the report should be objective and fair. The public should be rational view, understanding and respect for medical workers.5. From the perspective of patients, the research proposed to trust and cooperate with the medical staff, correct the excessive expectations of medical results, enhance the legal awareness, and to assume the responsibility of the doctor-patient relationship.Finally, the existing problems in this research and the future development direction of the research were discussed.
