Purpose : The purpose of this study is to treat patients with lumbar disc herniation by method of electroacupuncture combined with ear points imbedding needle, and compared to only electroacupuncture control group at the clinical efficacy,To evaluate the effect and feasibility of the ear points imbedding needle combined with electroacupuncture on LDH.Thus will provide a reference for optimization of clinical treatment. Methods:Selected 60 cases of lumbar disc herniation patients were accordance with the inclusion criteria, adopt the randomize control method, divided into the Treatment group(ear points imbedding needle combined with electroacupuncture) and the control group(only electroacupuncture). The same points and the same operation were selected in the acupuncture part. After 3 courses of treatment, the clinical therapeutic effect of two groups were evaluated by statistical methods, and analyzing the relevant data.Results:1. There were no statistically significant differences in the generalinformation and pre-treatment evaluation parameters of the patients(P>0.05),which showed the two groups had comparability.2.Comparison of the VAS score:there is a significant difference between the two groups of patients before and after treatment were compared(P<0.01). After the treatment of two groups of patients with scores were significantly different(P<0.01).3.Comparison of JOA score:there was significant difference between two groups of patients before and after treatment were compared(P<0.01). After the treatment of two groups of patients with scores were significantly different(P<0.05).4.Comparison of Oswestryscore: there is a significant difference between the two groups of patients before and after treatment were compared(P<0.01). After the treatment of two groups of patients with scores were significantly different(P<0.05).5. The comparison of overall effectiveness:the total effective rate was90.0% in treatment group and 80. 0% in control group with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion: The research shown that the two groups both have effect. They both improve pain, overall symptoms, sign and limb function. But, the overall effect of the ear points imbedding needle with electroacupuneture treatment better than the only electroacupuncture treatment.Theear points imbedding needle withelectroacupuncture treatment has better effect in both improving pain, overall symptoms, sign and limb function than the only electroacupuncture treatment. The effect of ear points imbedding needle combined with electroacupuncture in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation is significant, worthy of promotion.
