The Clinical Observation Of Addition And Subtraction Of Kushen Decoction On The Prevention And Treatment About Edema Of Anal Edge After The Mixed Hemorrhoid Surgery By Means Of Fumigating And Sitz Bath

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effect of addition and subtraction of kushen decoction on the prevention and treatment about edema of anal edge after the mixed hemorrhoid surgery by means of fumigating and sitz bathMethods130 cases of mixed hemorrhoids patients with the degree of internal hemorrhoids during Ⅱ-Ⅳ were divided randomly into 2 groups,65 cases for each, all patients began to receive the treatment of fumigating and sitz bath on the second day after the operation, then once a day, last for seven days. The patients in observation group received traditional chinese medicinal formulae addition and subtraction of kushen decoction while warm water was given to those in control group, then observe and compare the occurrence probability of anal edema. Reselecting 60 patients occurred edema of anal edge after the surgery and randomly assigning them into observation group C and control group D,30 cases for each. Traditional chinese medicinal formulae addition and subtraction of addition and subtraction of kushen decoction was given group C to fumigate and sitz bath once a day, meanwhile western medicine povidone iodine was performed on group D. To observe and compare the scores of edema between group C and group D three, five and seven days later after treatment, the total effective rate between group C and group D after seven days’ treatment, and the scores of edema within group C after three, five and seven days’ treatment.Results1、On the PreventionSignificant difference was found between group A and group B when compared (P<0.05). The incidence of anal edema in group A was 6.6%, which was lower than19.0% in group B.2、On the Treatment① Scores of edema were compared between group C and group D after three days’ fumigating and sitz bath, and no significant difference was found between them (P>0.05); Five days later, we found P<0.05, the scores of edema in group C were lower than group D. With seven days’ treatment, we found P<0.01, the scores of edema in group C were significantly lower than group D;② Seven days after treatment, we compared group C with group D on the total effective rate, results showed that 96.6% of group C was higher than 70% of group D;③ compared anal edema scores after three, five and seven days’treatment with-in group C, we found P<0.01, the results stated clearly that within one week after mixed hemorrhoid surgery, the anal edema scores had a tendency to decrease with the extension of treatment time.3、On the SafetyDuring the whole experimental processes, no adverse reaction was occurred in all patients.ConclusionFor patients with mixed hemorrhoid, the treatment of fumigating and sitz bath with traditional chinese medicinal formulae addition and subtraction of kushen decoction can not only effectively prevent the occurrence of edema of anal edge after surgery, but also treat it effectively. At the same time, within one week after mixed hemorrhoid surgery, the anal edema scores had a tendency to decrease with the extension of treatment time. Based on the safety, effective rate, simple operation and practicality, it is well worth of further clinical applications.
