Objective:The research is to survey the nurses’ perception of organizational climate and work engagement of clinical nurses in Changchun,and to study the general demographic information on nurses’ perception of organizational climate and work engagement.Analyze the correlation between nurses’ perception of organizational climate and work engagement;Discuss the important factors of nurses’ work engagement;measures are raised purposefully based on the results,to improve the perception of the organization climate and thus enhance the nurses into the work,to provide reference for promoting development of the harmonious organizational climate,strengthen nursing team, to enhance the quality of care.Methods:We investigated in three 3-A general hospitals of 700 nurses in Changchun by the method of convenience sampling.A general demographic survey scale,a Nurse’s Organizational Climate Scale and Utrecht Work Engagement Scale(UWES)were included in the questionnaires. Epidata 3.1 software was used to enter the data into the computer,Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(SPSS)13.0for Windows was used to perform the statistical analyses.Data analysis included descriptive statistics,t-text,one-factor analysis of variance,Pearson’s correlation analysis and multiple linear stepwise regression analysis.Results:1.The mean score of nurses’ perception of organizational climate was2.82±0.40,the score for six dimensionality was respectively: the average score of management support was2.87±0.47;the average score of human resources management was2.71±0.57;the average score of adequate resources was2.63±0.48;the average score of team behavior was3.01±0.47;the average score of quality control was2.91±0.54;the average score of evidence-based nursing support was2.88±0.64.2.The results of one-factor analysis of variance showed that the differences of nurses’ perception of organizational climate in age,work experience,professional rank,marital status,education,employment status,work department,the monthly income had statistical significance(P<0.05,P<0.01)3.The mean score of nurses’ work engagement was3.07±0.88;the score for three dimensionality was respectively:the average score of vitality was3.08±0.97;theaverage score of dedication was3.10±1.07;the average score of focus was3.03±0.95.4.The results of one-factor analysis of variance showed that the differences of nurses’ work engagement in gender,age,work experience,professional rank,marital status,education,employment status,work department,themonthly income had statistical significance(P<0.05,P<0.01)5.Correlation analysis revealed that the nurses’ perception of organizational climate and work engagement had positive correlation.(P<0.01)6.The results of multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that the organizational climate,income,gender,educational level,department of internal medicine and professional title were the related factors of nurses’ job involvement,and the six could explain the variation of job involvement 36.1%. The higher the level of nurses’ perception of organizational climate, the better the job investment status,the monthly income of more than 5001 of the level of income group had better job investment than the others;in gender,men’s work engagement level is higher than female; the higher the level of nurses with higher education level,the better the job investment status;compared with the work of nurses in pediatrics,department of internal medicine nurses working in a higher score.Conclusion:1.Nurses exhibited a medium level of perception of organizational climate,age,work experience,professional rank,marital status,education,employment status,work department,the monthly income in general demographic information were the influencing factors of nurses’ perception of organizational climate.2.Nurses exhibited a medium level of work engagement,gender,age,work experience,professional rank,marital status,education,employment status,work department,the monthly income in general demographic information were the influencing factors of nurses’ work engagement.3.Between nurses’ perception of organizational climate and work engagement were positive correlation.4.Organizational climate,income,gender,educational level,department of internal medicine and professional title were the main factors influencing nurses’ job involvement.Key words:...
