Objective:After the literature and historical data, this research summarized a concept of the core professional nursing values of Chinese culture by discussing theory and practice, analysising the history and reality.Using some scales referring to the maturity scales at home and abroad through experts’ advice, to investigate the registered nurses employing in the first- class hospital of Shanxi province for six months at least.The key objectives of this paper are to explore the status and correlation of the Core Professional Nursing Values and Organizational Citizenship Behavior, and get the factors which influence them. All of these are to provide reference for nursing quality management and cultural development, and theoretical basis for current situation of nursing staffs’ behavior. Methods:The methods concluding some means of reading historical document and literature,also including the expert consultation,etc. We use the questionnaires to investigate the correlation between the core professional nursing values and organizational citizenship behavior. The samples we choose coming from four tertiary general hospitals who are working in western medicine in Shanxi Province by randomly selecting. In the whole progress of date analysis,Spss13.0 software is used to data entry, item selection,single factor variance analysis, independent sample t-test, factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis, etc. Results:1. The nature of the core professional nursing values is care, the premise is morality, the responsibility is a kind of consciousness and the form is the behavior.2. Verify the theoretical model of the core professional nursing values by exploring and confirmatory factor analysis to build a five dimensions of 23 items of organizational citizenship behavior scale.3. The core professional nursing values are different in the total score of invesigating hospitals and departments of demography variables.4. There are different in total scores of OCB in these variables including different hospitals, age, professional qualification, department, position, and marital status of demographic variables. The age group between 30 to 39 and 40 to 50 in OCB scored higher than age group between 20 to 29 and over 50 years old nursing staffs. The higher the professional qualification the higher organizational citizenship behavior score.Those who have position get higher than general nurses in OCB score, Married nurses than unmarried nurses.5. Two scales have correlations between each dimension and the total. The independent variables including demography variables and the Core Professional Nursing Values explain 52.2% of the total variance of the organizational citizenship behavior by regression analysis. Further analysis found that the professional spirit and professional ethics of the Core Professional Nursing Values affect the total score of organizational citizenship behavior, have positive effect to it. The scores in the dimension of professional spirit and professional ethics are higher, the total score of organizational citizenship behavior is higher. Professional ethics has a positive effect to the dimension of professional spirit. The same to the Professional spirit to the dimension of helping colleagues and protecting the organization resources. Professional cognition positively affects two dimensions of social service and dedication and identifying organization, as the former score higher the latter increased gradually. Conclusion:It is essential to strengthen the construction of hospital and department’s culture and develop harmonious working atmosphere. Helping nurses correct the incorrect work attitude and tendency and actively strengthen the core professional nursing values especially professional spirit,cognition and ethics to improve the work consciousness.There are important to carry out lectures and training of humanistic knowledge and pay attention to nurses’ psychological needs.It is contribute to form more organizational citizenship behavior that benefit organizational development,which pay more attention to nurses and let them feel the comfortable atmosphere coming form work and the unity and cooperation so that promote Profession Approbation Degree.
